I love my friends. They have a sense of humour Look what I got for Christmas/New Year from 2 different friends.
Yes, products from MAC Cosmetics!
With the MAC Languish Lipglass, my MAC lip collection has immediately swelled 100% (I had 0 before) and with the MAC Shy Beauty beauty powder, my MAC face collection just doubled (my only other MAC face product was Porcelain Pink MSF!) Teehee… thank you girlies!
Not a lover of things MAC but as I’ve said before, I love it when my friends force me out of my comfort zone and get me to try something I might not look at before
Incidentally, I love the look of Shy Beauty. It says “Beauty Powder” but its a blush to me. Pretty shimmery one too. I believe it might be limited edition from a previous collection, so do let me know if you want a review on it.
Languish lipglass is a little brown compared to my usual lip colours, but I’m planning to use it in some experimental lip looks to darken light shades of lip colours that I rarely use. I’m not predisposed towards light lip shades so this will come in handy to add depth! I’ll let you know how it goes
You know what’s dangerous? Cafe World on Facebook. OMG I’ve been cooking and baking non stop since I got started on it just over the new year! The consolation is that after 3 days I’ve reached a high enough level to wonder “What now?” and realize the answer is “Nothing!” So I’m pretty much weaned off it
Now I need to get off my virtual cafe and into my real time kitchen and do some serious cooking and baking! That’s another new year resolution!

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural – Medium Light
I really should listen to my instincts next time I walk into MAC Cosmetics. I wanted to get the MSF in Light but was persuaded that Medium Light would be right for me. Under the yellow lighting in the store, it was.
Outside, its a teeny tiny shade dark for me. Its not so that its noticable, but it doesn’t “brighten” my complexion. Nothing a dusting of Meteorites cannot fix. Is there anything it can’t I wonder
So with that opening gambit, you might think I hate the Mineralize Skin Finish powder. Au contraire! I like it.I use it as a setting powder for liquid foundation and I even use it on its own sometimes on lazy days when I feel my skin is up to it. I am a fan of sheer foundation so I’m happy with it going on sheer.
If I want more coverage, I use a denser brush. If I use it as a setting powder for liquid foundation, I use a fluffy brush. It does brush a little “dusty” which gives me the impression that this powder is a little loose and might shatter quite easily were I to drop it. So I don’t travel with this one
Used as a setting powder, it does make my makeup look pretty good. My skin looks matte and finished pretty much all day long. As the shade is a touch dark, I still need my Meteorites to brighten my complexion but it otherwise gives a lovely natural look without looking cakey or overdone.
Pros: Light coverage, Looks natural, Can last a long timeI might not be MAC Cosmetics’ biggest fan, but I do like their Mineralize Skin Finish Natural There! Surprised?
Cons: Seems a little fragile
Have you tried this one and if you have, do you like it? I know Connie does – she was the one who sent me in the direction of this one
